Catfishing continues to be steady in the Tennessee River in Southeast Tennessee. While we've been catching mostly "eater-sized" blues between 2 and 8 lbs, the occasional trophy catfish turns up regularly. Most recently Ryan Edde from Murfreesboro, Tenn., along with his daughters Kirsten and Kayla, caught a great 26 lb. blue on light tackle, along with an cooler full of fish for the frying pan. {%image_id=11415%} Also, the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame recently certified one of my client's catches on 10 lb. test line as a new Line Class World Record in the "Catch & Release" category. Anglers should plan on basic summertime patterns, which means fish slow and deep.
