Don Schnable....report greers ferry lake The water level at greers ferry lake is at 459.91 and falling it is 2.63 feet below normal pool of 462.54 feet and the temp is in the mid 70's and trying to fall. The catfish are eating well on trotlines, jugs and rood and reels using a variety of baits all over the lake on channel swings. Crappie are eating minnows and jigs fished vertical in 12- 20 feet of water in the pole timber and around brush piles. Bream fishing is good using crickets and crawlers up shallow and out to 25 feet of water. Walleye are eating crawlers on pea gravel in 15-30 feet of water. The bass fishing has been good deep, real deep but they are on the move now to shallow water ,spinner baits , crank baits, short Alabama rigs, as well as worms and c-rigged lizards, with some schoolers on top. The hybrid and white bass are chewing bait real well in parts of the lake with some on top and the rest eating down, the fall feast has started , stay with the shad and the fish will be close , use spoons, in-line spinners, swim baits, jerk baits, and top water baits, any where from 15-50 feet of water.
