December has been as odd month for us as far as weather is concerned in the low country. We have had very few cold fronts come through, and our temperatures have stayed very mild too say the least. As a result the water temp has yet to drop into the 50's. The trout bite has been pretty good on the flats on oysters, with some being caught in the deeper holes. This should change as the temps drop, and the trout gang up in deeper holes. The Redfish bite has been pretty consistent also, with tide movement still the best bite. Mud minnows or live shrimp under popping corks have worked well.
