What a perfect day on the water. The weather was great for a change and the water clarity was amazing. The day started out a little bit slow picking up a trout here and there, but as soon as the tide turned to go out, the bite really picked up and in some places it was every cast. All of the fish were caught in around 5-10ft of water and we caught them on live bait under popping corks, DOA shrimp under popping corks, Gulp shrimp new penny on jig heads and grubs that were Christmas tree in color with a pink tail. All together we only kept 14 but threw several keepers back caught a ton of under sized fish and even left the fish biting. This is what the fall trout bite is all about on St. Simons and I can not wait to get back on the water. Check out other reports and photos at www.reelstokedfishing.com
