Haven't reported for a bit, but wanted to let everyone know that our late spring and summer trout bite has really been the best in years. Following 3 straight mild winters with no fish kills, we are seeing a tremendous increase in the number of trout we are picking up. And not only numbers, but we are seeing a lot of 18 inch and up trout. I look to have the best fall bite, which is our best of the year, that we have seen in many years. I am currently catching them on live shrimp, mud minnows, and finger mullet under a popping cork. And the Vudu shrimp, in silver flake or pearl/chartuese, has been excellent also. The key is to keep that cork popping. If there is a trout close by he will run to the commotion, and a bite will follow. The bite will only get better and last clear into December. Merry Christmas!
