{%image_id=13307%}Weekly Fishing Report by Picante Sportfishing January 11th to January 18th. 2010 Our fishing report is compiled from the weekly catches of our fleet. We'll update the report every Monday A mixed bag of fish was caught this past week by our fleet. The warm water continues to surround the baja peninsula as "El Nino" conditions persist. The Golden Gate Bank normally has water temps in the upper 60's and low 70's still has water in the mid 70's. The Dorado catch still seems to be the talk of the town with multiple fish caught on each charter. Corporate groups are making their return to our desert paradise and the folks from 2010 Unified Group had a great day aboard our 32' Cabo Express with Captain Ivan Gomez at the helm releasing 2 Striped Marlin. Our "Picantito Fleet" continues to make their presents known in our best boat of the day. "Picantito II" with Captain Renan Cesena at the helm and our charter client Mr. Atlas manning the cockpit released a Striped Marlin and boating 8 Dorado. On the 14th. a group of girls from Washington D.C. were in Cabo for a wedding and chartered 2 boats to chase marlin and dorado. The northwest wind did not cooperate and blew strong to give them a bumpy ride. Our 45' Cabo Express "Picante 45" with Captain Emilio Arenas at the helm still found the fish. They released 2 Striped Marlin and boated 2 Dorado. Again our 24' Shamrock "Picantito III was our boat of the day releasing 1 Striped Marlin and boating 10 Sierra Mackerel. Always glad to see the Sierra make their showing in our waters. A great tasting fish in ceviche and pan fried.
