Well for the most part a winter pattern is now in place on our Gulf Coast. The Specks are moving into their deeper water winter locations only to venture out around the edges of the flats during the mid day warming. Some of the deeper inshore reefs are producing throughout the day. Black Drum and Sheepshead are still plentiful around the Bridge Legs as well as the Train Bridge hot spots for Sheepshead. Out going tides are great for those pursuing Sheepshead. Dead shrimp bounded across the bottom with the current does the trick. The Reds are still around to be found. It is amazing how shallow the get even on the coldest of days. Same tactics as usual. Look for fining fish in the shallows as the day heats up, and explore the mouths of canals and bayous in the early AM and late PM. Give us a call and let's go fishing!
